Participation

Kinetika devises participatory projects to run alongside urban regeneration and community engagement projects often within culturally deprived areas of society. Our speciality is to engage with these communities, to raise aspirations and the sense of pride for a place, and to push creativity and inclusion through the art form.

Participatory projects may take the form of an artist–led walk, a processional performance or  large scale installation, preceded by a series of workshops where participants design, create and make their own response to a specific place, or make costumes, puppets or structures, choreograph dance routines and learn performance skills.

We work alongside communities to create a sense of place, to promote new friendships, creativity, group activities, fun and sharing through making workshops, performances and events

“I think, most importantly Kinetika helped us to create a legacy…”

Deborah Owen-Ellis Clark
London Designer Outlet, Head of Marketing

“You really inspired those teachers, but also the local artists who worked in the primary schools. I think all who took part will remember the day for a good while yet, as will lots of the audience.”
