What information we collect about you

To book you onto one of our events or participatory events we will need some details from you including your name and email address. If you are making a purchase via our website, we will ask for your name, email and postal address. If you contact us via our website, we will ask for your name and contact details. If you would like to sign up to receive communications from us, we will require your name and email address.  We use cookies to improve the performance of the site and log information and visitor behaviour  – you can find more on this below.

Where information is collected from

The data detailed above is collected through a variety of methods – if you’ve booked onto an event this will be through the event booking site eventbrite.com.  Website purchase details and online form submission data are collected via the Kinetika website.

Why we collect this information

The information we ask from you is so that we contact you regarding your booking or process your order. Only if you agree, we will email you with news updates and information about other products, events, offers or services we think may be of interest to you.

We use your information gathered from the website cookies to personalise your repeat visits to our website, including functionality such as leaving products in your basket. Kinetika will not share your information for marketing purposes with companies outside our organisation unless you have given us express permission to do so.

Our legal process for processing personal data

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), tailored by the Data Protection Act 2018, organisations are required to have a legal basis for processing personal data. The legal bases we use for processing data are’ Legitimate interests’ for the purposes of processing participant bookings, contact data, and online transactions and ‘Consent’ when opting into our mailing lists.

How long we keep data

Personal data that you have submitted as part of a booking or enquiry is archived after one year.

Online purchase data is retained for 7 years as part of our financial records.
