A magnificent Bengal tiger and his Emperor, a whirling band of fiery devil dancers, an exuberant procession, an intriguing workshop… With over ten years experience in design, production and performance, Kinetika has taken the spirit of carnival and delivered it to places and people all over the world.

A not-for-profit organisation, Kinetika was founded in 1997. We took our initial inspiration from the Trinidadian model of carnival, with its elaborate costumes and breathtaking music. Since then, our projects and performances have taken us far and wide – from the Notting Hill Carnival to the Olympics in Atlanta, from the Kolkata Carnival in India to Nelson Mandela's statue unveiling in Parliament Square.

Our vision is to create work that is large-scale and spectacular, which is challenging in its content and tells a compelling story. We aim to make sure our performances – devised by a team of professional artists and young people – reach a large and diverse audience. We are committed to building long-term relationships that empower those we work with and create the foundations for a lasting legacy.
